The National Guard Bureau (NGB) is working to identify, evaluate, and restore environmental impacts that may have resulted from past practices or accidents at Camp Navajo. These impacts occurred years ago, when there was limited knowledge of the environmental consequences associated with accidental spills or routine disposal practices. NGB is currently conducting three environmental restoration programs at Camp Navajo, each with a slightly different focus. These programs, the Installation Restoration Program (IRP), Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP), and Open Burn/Open Detonation (OB/OD) Area Closure Program are described in the About Environmental Restoration Programs section.
